![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() A luxury I did not have.Īs a teenage girl and starting my own journey into sexual relationships, I have heard males and females talk about a woman being “ tight” as if they were discussing what is on the dinner menu at your local Lone Star restaurant. Technology has now made it a lot easier for someone to search for a diagnosis for an issue they have within the comfort of their own home. But how do you know you need to speak to your doctor about it if you don’t even know that there is anything wrong with it to begin with? Otherwise, these conversations were usually had with your girlfriends in secret hoping that someone will be able to answer your questions. My mother was of the generation where you don’t speak about sexual health, women’s health issues or even males health issues with anyone other than your doctor. So, where to start? Like I said speaking about a woman’s pelvic floor or feminine health issues never occurred while I was growing up. With this in mind I am going to talk openly about your vagina, your fairy, your cookie, your fanny, your kitty meow meow whatever you want to call it, and things that I have done to gain a strong pelvic floor. ![]() It is an important topic that women need to be aware of, and actively work on. Now, I have shared some pretty personal moments in my life and this will be no different. I know in my home we did not have any discussions around sexual health or a woman’s vagina therefore, I was never told about my pelvic floor or what to do to keep it strong until I had a third degree tear with my first born. It is something that you take notice of once you start having babies and it is something you live with in your old age. This topic is something women know about but don’t talk about. I was mortified! It wasn’t a torrential downpour, but it was just a small leak for me to stand up, move away and cover my pubic area with my sweat towel and I started to count down until I could get home. I stepped to the bar, planted my feet, bent over and wrapped my hands around the barbell, lowered my body and then it happened. We have trained together a lot over the years motivating and pushing each other to achieve our own personal bests, so this was nothing out of the ordinary. Each set was getting heavier and heavier. the thought of having a pelvic organ prolapse is making me feel so so sad.As I was at the gym with my neice, she added another weight to the barbell for us to deadlift. I can also feel the front of my vaginal wall feeling balloon-y, making me pretty sure I have a prolapsed bladder (cystocele). I know it sounds crazy but I felt like my pelvic organs were totally unsupported during jumping! (8 weeks PP) 5 days ago I did 2, 2!!, jumping jacks with my toddler and I want to say since then I feel at times a sensation of a tampon inserted too low. My belly above my belly button looks and feels like a ballon, while below belly button gone down to normal. I’ve looked at one called Sharny and Julius, which seems to looks good, but don’t know of anyone who has tried anything like this. Anyone have a recommended online exercise programme for either? I’m more concerned about my pelvic floor, although need to address both. STM here.Feel I have a weak pelvic floor after my big baby (4.56 kg delivered vaginally). ![]()
